  • Pre-rinse: We thoroughly wet down all nearby vegetation before we begin.
  • Covering (if needed): We protect delicate plants with covers when necessary.
  • Post-rinse: After cleaning, we rinse everything again to remove any remaining solution.

Will a roof cleaning treatment permanently stop algae and moss from returning?

Roof cleaning removes existing algae and moss and treats the surface to slow future growth. While no treatment can permanently stop natural regrowth, our professional process is designed to keep your roof cleaner for longer.

If algae or moss returns within two years under normal conditions, we’ll come back and re-treat the affected areas at no charge.

What is an ice dam and why is it a problem for my home?

An ice dam forms when heat escaping from your attic melts snow on your roof, and that water refreezes at the cold roof edge or gutters. Nova Scotia’s freeze-thaw winter climate makes this especially common. The real danger is trapped meltwater backing up under your shingles, which can cause leaks, water damage, rot, and ceiling damage inside your home.
